Rt. 73 coming into and out of Oxford

Oxford, OhioDec 03, 20020 Comments

Rt. 73 is 55 m.ph. until you come into Oxford, where it changes to 35 m.ph. the 35 sign is very hard to see and Miami University police will clock you right at it. They will ticket for anything over 38m.p.h. So literally, you have to come from doing 55-60 m.ph. to doing 35-38 m.ph. in the span of a couple feet. The Miami U police station is on the left and there are horse stables on the right and it is VERY dark there at night and makes for good hiding spots where it is almost impossible to see them before they see you. Also, coming out of Oxford on 73, there is a pretty big hill. It is easy to start going fast down this hill, and they watch it constantly, mainly because there are pedestrians on this side during the daytime and early night hours.
