West River Road near Valley Harbor Marina
Vermilion Police park by storage building on the top of Valley Harbor facing west to catch you coming around the corner in 25mph zone. You have no time to react. Only there during daylight hours 7:00am to 6:00 pm anytime the weather is nice. They don’t like getting of their cars in the rain evidently.
North Ridge Road near Sunnyside Road
Vermilion police park at rear entrance of Brownhelm Cemetary on Sunnyside Rd. and watch North Ridge. This is a rural road with a 35mph speed limit.
West River Road near Nautical Drive
Just West of the entrance to Valley Harbor marina. Every morning and into the afteernoon you will see a police car backed in near a small storage barn. The speed limit is 25,but the road goes from rual to residential quickly which makes you forget it is only 25 mph.
State Route 6 near Ritter Library
Early in am 5:00am to 9:00am – when all are going to work. Rt6 or Liberty Ave. has one or two partol cars hiding all along the road in various locations from Ritter Library to Vermilion Farm Market practically every morning. They hide with lights off mostly. Speed limit varies from 25mph to 50mph so watch out!
Vermilion Road near State Route 2
Police car will hide behind trees in the metro parks parking lot on Vermilion Rd., just south of Rte. 2. They will be facing south. The speed limit is 35 mph and well marked but it is tempting to exceed that given the rural road. He’s often there mid day.
