Okmulgee, Oklahoma Speed Traps
Going west on 20 th st.
Going down hill on 20th St. speed limit is 30 mph. At the bottom of the hill it changes to 35..not much diffrence exept when you coast down to a waiting pd with a radar gun at the storage units on the south side of the road. Paid 200$ for 12 mph over the posted 30mph.
US Highway 75 near Gun Club Road
Hwy 75 North and Gun Club Road Intersectin. Speed limit 55 mph. High radar traffic has k band false due to local hotel and other nearby business using electronic doors. Will try and write you 45 mph school zone ticket. Even though sign states clearly 45 mph only when lights flashing.
State Highway 75 North near State Highway 16 Beggs Exit
Hwy 75 North. Just recently a solid black Beggs pd
Dodge Charger has been perked on Hwy 75 targeting south bound traffic. Not even sure if this is inside there city limits. My guess is that if someone is not from area may not know and recieve a citation. Also if you take Hwy 16 Exit there is sometimes a Beggs pd parkend under the overpass. Hwy 75 and Hwy 16 Beggs exit is know for County Sherriff’s to be nearby.
State Highway 75 North near Jubilee Christian Center
Hwy 75 North. Service Road infron of church On east side of road. There is almost always an Okulgee pd car parked there running K band radar.
US Highway 75 near Box Street
US Hwy 75 on the north side of Okmulgee is a normal hang out for officers. When traveling north & south bound on hwy 75 on the north side of Okmulgee the speed limit is posted at 35mph. The speed limit is well posted however it remains at 35mph until you are well north of any residential areas. I have not received a citation in this area as I am a local but every time I go into Okmulgee I see a motorist pulled over. It is easy to speed on this stretch of highway as it doesn’t seem as if the speed should be posted at such a slow pace.
