Rush Springs, Oklahoma Speed Traps

Blinking yield light on a 4 lane intersection that skirts the outside of the town but still in city limits. The speed limit changes from 70 mph to 45 mph in approximately 1/4 of a mile.

police sat here all the time as you come down the road the speed limit is 70 until you come up over a hill where it eventually comes to 45 they will be there waiting so watch out for it by the way they just issued 271 citations for the month for a little town of 1200 people just thought that i would let every one knows before its to late.

This small town sits approx 1/4 mile from the highway but they have managed to pull the speed limit from 70mph to 45 mph. There are no speed limit signs that have you gradually slow down and no waring to reduce speed. The local law enforcement patrol the Highway mostly and will ticket you for the smallest infraction. Usually for 9 miles under. Going through town is just as bad where the limit is at 25 mph. The police sit on the highway just south the yellow flashing intersection at the bottom of the hill.
