Tulsa, Oklahoma Speed Traps
Creek Nation Turnpike near State Highway 169
Highway 169 South (the most terrifying drive in Tulsa), leads into a section of the Creek Nation Turnpike that skirts the southern edge of Tulsa. While 169 is sporatically patrolled (and ineffectually as well – sorry! You take your life into your own hands if you drive 169!), the Creek is more regularly monitored. I don’t mind at all – the crazies that flew by you, blowing your doors off on 169 are generally caught on the Creek between Memorial and Yale as they continue their supersonic trek on this pay road. This is actually the same area that had reports of sniper activity against SUV’s some years ago, so I’m doubly glad to see it patrolled. These are righteous busts! Slow down!
US Highway 75 North Bound near US Highway 11
2 to 4 Motorcycle Officers sit under the Bridge ( Highway 11) on Highway 75 North Bound right after you can exit for the LL Tisdale. I see at least two vehicles every day pulled over around 9 am. They are in an area that is getting resurfaced and the state has changed the speed limit there from 65 to 55 until the roadwork is complete.
41st Street near Between Mingo and Memorial Road
When you are going toward Memorial from Mingo there are cops that sit at that closed down hotel to your right. They get you because of that hill youre going down.
Interstate I-44 near Broken Arrow Expressway
Going West I see the motorcycle cops more in the inner media clocking peoples speed. You dont know they are there till its to late.
Interstate I-244 near Sheridan Avenue
Multiple motorcycle cops sitting on Eastbound entrance lane at Sheridan Ave. to I-244.
