Tuttle, Oklahoma Speed Traps
S. Sara road/Hwy37
Small traffic signs that blends well into horizon, speed drops from 45 miles to 35 miles per hour. This is a no tolerance area and Tuttle makes alot of revenue off this 1800 feet stretch of road. If ticketed expect to pay at least $100.00 in fines
Coming off the HE bailey turnpike North bound to highway 37
There is construction going on now, and at night the police will park inside the construction area usually between the orange barrels (which should be illegal, I can’t park there so why should they)and the speed limit decreases pretty rapidly, so watch out!
Highway 37 from I-44 in Newcastle to Tuttle ( 12 miles in length)
Tuttle and Newcastle both give tickets for the slightest violation. They use unmarked cars. Sometimes they use two cars at once. I drive this road twice a day and nine out of ten trips I’ll see them with someone pulled over. I got a ticket on a side road where they just put up 35 mph signs. Watch out for Cemetary and Frisco roads. I went to court to get the ticket reduced and I counted over 80 people in court. Also watch out OHP cars on this road and they even run the country roads. They’re building a new bridge across the river to Mustang. I’m sure they’ll milk this new source of revenue.
