Barrie, Ontario Speed Traps

Speeds on Lakeshore can climb too easily as it is such a straight run of road between Tiffin and Minets. Police sit in the parking lot of the events center located between both of those roads on Lakeshore. Speed limit is 50 but averages 70 through there.

As you go up the hill on Essa just past Logger’s Run there is a trap behind the trees on the right hand side before you reach the plaza – you don’t see them until they have already got you! Speed limit is only 50 – but it is a four lane road – tricksters!

they hide out just around the bend in the driveway of the heavy machining rentals building usually catching traffic heading westbound.

As you are going down cundles rd, heading west, you pass a mall on your right called Kozlov, then you proceed down a hill that bends right on the way down, and left on the way up. It looks like the perfect stratch to fly down, so you build up momentum as you are going down the hill until BOOM! POPO just nabbed you, they are there all the time, if not, they are just up the hill hiding behind an old folks home waiting for you to slip up. Watch out because the cop that does that spot is a total jerk, he didn’t even tell me what i got pulled over for when i asked him, he did not even say that i was speeding, he just wrote the ticket, threw it at me, and took off before i could close my window. That one already has a court date set.

As you are entering Barrie on Hwy 11 (Younge St), past Big Bay Point Rd, you go down a hill and a bend. Once you Pick up speed and start to go up the hill you’ll see a church on the left, then you look right and its too late, your busted. There are a bunch of cruisers sitting with the cops shooting you with the gun. They are hinding in small street with a bunch of stealth cruisers. I know this first hand, I was busted doing 126km/h in a 50km/h zone Some of the cops are cool, others are dicks. Watch out!
