Brampton, Ontario Speed Traps

When approaching from the south, the speed limit drops from 80km to 50km. They are always on the west side of the road parked in the market parking lot with radar. They also get you coming from the north as you come over the hill, you can’t see them until its too late.

A new one I guess. Just got nabbed there yesterday. It’s a 60 zone going to a 50 and they catch you in the right lane like a sitting duck b/c you have to speed up to merge into the left lane straight thru traffic.

Police officers can be on either side of the road. usually hiding behind the bushes & trees. One officer with a radar gun, and a couple cruisers to give chase. Mostly at AM & PM rush hours, but have seen them at all times.

Going east on Steeles at the traffic lights just before Kennedy road, cops are often using radar to catch speeders. I’ve seen many getting caught on my way to the Home Depot, usually in the morning to mid-afternoon.

Going south on Mclaughlin Rd towards derry road, you cross a bridge that goes over the 407. At the bottom of the bridge there is a driveway, that is sort of hidden by the gaurd rail. The cop sits in his car in the drive way, and you don’t see him till half way down the bridge when he already has you.
