Collingwood, Ontario Speed Traps
Hwy 24/124 at Batteaux Rd.
North bound & South bound on Hwy 24/124 in the small town of Nottawa (south of Collingwood) the speed limit drops from 70km/h to 50km/h for a couple of KM within the town. The cowards are hiding in the clutter on the road side near the Hwy 124 / Batteaux Rd. intersection with their radar guns.
Hwy 24/124 South approaching town
As you come into town from the south on Hwy 24/124 there is the occassional speed trap pointing south just before you get to the high school. Ironically enough, right by the "Welcome to Collingwood" sign.
Grey Rd 19 & Sixth St. Osler Bluff Rd Crossing
Change in speed limit from 80 klms to 60 klms for a stretch of Grey Rd 19 from the bottom of Osler Ski Hill to Blue Mntn Rd. This means any one coming from Sixth St is in a 80 Klms zone, and by turning onto Grey Rd 19 at the intersection and heads towards Osler Ski Hill enters a 60 klms zone for 1 klms, then it changes back to 80 klms when resuming up Grey Rd 19. There are only 4 homes on this stretch, therefore this speed lmit is unwarrented. Police hide in entrance ways to farm gates just below the hill on this stretch getting unsuspecting drivers coming north and south on Grey Rd 19 (also known as Osler Bluff Rd).
Pretty River Parkway
Sit right on the bend on pretty river parkway…usually park their car on the road by sunset point, and stand on the sidewalk with the radar gun.
State Highway 26 West and East
The speed limits have been dropped down to 50km. on both sides of Collingwood for three or four miles. They were formally 80km.
