King St. E. coming off the expressway (Dixon Rd.)

Kitchener, OntarioSep 23, 20100 Comments

They tend to stand behind a hydro pole right where the 2 lanes merge into one… so you’re paying attention to merging, not to your speed! They are usually there in the mornings on the commute to work. Recently, they have been spotted on the other side of the road leaving Kitchener as you approach Dixon/Montgomery… it’s a double lane road that opens up onto the expressway and when the light is green…

New Dundee Road approaching Homer Watson at Executive Place

Kitchener, OntarioSep 23, 20100 Comments

The limit drops from 80 Kph to 50 Kph in the curve near Princess Auto. By the time you spot him on the shoulder, he’s got your number 🙁

On Ira Needles/Trussler Road, just below Highland Rd. Roundabout

Kitchener, OntarioApr 28, 20100 Comments

Police sit on Trussler, between the Highland roundabout and the next one down (in Forest Heights), towards Hwy 8. They were sitting at night in the dark with lights out, on the side of the road, pointing up towards Highland. Picking off cars coming from the Highland roundabout down to the expressway. No way to see them as there are no street lights along this section. They also sit on the side street to the right, off of Trussler, coming down from Highland. Generally this road is a bad place to exceed the speed limit, all the way up to Erb Street!

Morrison Rd southbound approaching Grand River

Kitchener, OntarioApr 18, 20100 Comments

As you drive from Morrison Park south toward Grand River, down the hill, and round the bend, there is sometimes a cop waiting at Grand River. He sees you coming round the bend before you see him (though he is in plain sight a half Km ahead) Keep it close to the 50Km limit!

Under the 401 Bridge at Homer Watson Blvd.

Kitchener, OntarioApr 06, 20100 Comments

The cop sits under the bridge on the 401 west bound at Homer Watson Blvd. 7.00 a.m. just when the honest guy is driving to work.
