Mississauga, Ontario Speed Traps

Every night a black ghost car parks on the north side of the street just east of Arista way . One car after another is pulled over in the 40 zone. Generally gets cars heading south east on Mississauga Valley Blvd., and pulls them over in front of 1477 .

If you’re heading northbound on Kennedy Road just off Eglinton Avenue, you will spot a cruiser sitting inside a fenced courtyard on the right side, opposite the gas station. This stretch of Kennedy is a residential area and a hot spot for cops, so make sure you keep it at the posted limit (60km/h). A ton of people get pulled over here.

Cawthra Rd. crosses Dundas St. via an underpass. Drivers proceeding south, will usually find a series of police cars lined up at the other end of the underpass, with a police officer standing behind a hydro pole.

Cawthra is a 5 lane route in a residential neighbourhood, with a speedlimit of 50km/hr. The underpass separates the residential area with the light industrial section. On the way down, vehicles can easily reach 70km/hr. unless drivers brake for the entire stretch.

As drivers proceed southbound on Cawthra, they will often find a police car, (marked and unmarked), parked in a church drive way, just south of Burnhamthorpe (north of Bloor Street).

This section of Cawthra is a residential neighbourhood on this 5 lane route, and the posted speed limit is 50km/hr.

The officer will usually hold the radar gun while sitting in the cruiser. The police are at this location both during the day and evening, but afteernoon rush hour is the most common.
