Oklahoma Dr. east of West Shore

Pickering, OntarioJun 08, 20100 Comments

The cops hide in a side street or a laneway on the south side of Oklahoma, and nab eastbound motorists coming down the hill, a 40 kmph zone just past a school. The thing is, if I go 42 kmph on cruise control here, I get tailgated mercilessly.

Pickering Parkway and Notion Road (dead-end Corner)

Pickering, OntarioApr 14, 20100 Comments

While traveling east on Pickering Parkway all the way down to where it ends (past the Walmart and Pickering Pkwy Plazas), it meets Notion Road where most people usually take a left turn (there’s a dead-end on the right side). A cop car stands there sometimes with a radar gun because most people don’t bother looking to the right when making the turn; and because it’s a smaller road, drivers tend to speed). There is no posted speed limit but I often see people getting booked there going above 60 km/h. Always check your rear view after making the turn before speeding up!!

Sheppard Ave west of Whites Rd

Pickering, OntarioApr 12, 20101 Comments

Police set up shop in the parking lot of Dunbarton High School and point their radar westbound along Sheppard where they have a clear view for over half a kilometer. Traps are very common on Saturday and Sunday mornings, but not during weekdays when school is in session.

Taunton Road near Brock Road

Pickering, OntarioMar 11, 20081 Comments

officers will hide around the bend going east bound on Taunton Rd just past Brock Rd. they usually point their radars both east and west bound. East bound you do not see them until you come around the bend, by then it is too late. West bound you do not see them until you are halfway down the hill, they are hidden by bushes.
