At the edge of town behind the welcome to wasaga beach sign

Wasaga Beach, OntarioAug 19, 20100 Comments

If you want a "Welcome to Wasaga" letter then go ahead and disobey the huge 50Km signs at all entrances at any time. Got stopped at 4:30 AM leaving town accelerating into the 80Km zone in September, because I was a local commuter I was let off with a warning…all else ..,.SLOW DOWN

The whole town

Starting May 24th Wasaga imports opp from all over Ontario to deal with the influx of tourists. While the Beach has been down in tourist traffic for the past two seasons (in large numbers) due to weather, the economy, and restrictions imposed from the town of Wasaga. The number of OPP remains the same,, Soo with little to do and a ratio well above the norm expect the speedtraps to be set up anywhere possible,, Not to worry much as on a good day traffic usually bottlenecks due to lack of parking and you can’t get up to the speed limit anyway. Those days you will find the speed traps located outside the town limits, waiting for those that have suffered in their vehicles for hours, trying to escape.

they sit in the lane to the sports park, and point the gun towards the new bridge…the speed limit is now 50 km’s quite a ways BEFORE the bridge.

Wasaga Beach

The entire town of Wasaga Beach is a speed trap. There is really only one road, Mosley Street, 10 miles long at 50km per hour. There are more cops on this road than there are seagulls on the beach.
