Waterdown, Ontario Speed Traps
Dundas Street near 1st Street
Catching west bound traffic as you drop into the village. Cop stands on north west corner, can be hard to see against the wall. This is where it quickly drops from 80 then 50kmph.
Dundas Street (Hwy #5) From Evans Rd. – West to Hwy. 6
Police have a few favourite spots along this route. usually enforced by hamilton local police, but on occasion, Burlington OPP get in on the action. Favourite spots include:
– where the road drops to two lanes in front of Connon’s nursery. Cop sits on First Street and radar’s you coming West into town before the hill. Speed limit is a slow 50 km/h all the way from just west of Evan’s road….common now!!!
– Artesian Wells Plaza(Gator Ted’s) …Approaching Burke Street coming West into town, the cop will sit in that parking lot and catch Westbound traffic…road is still 4 lanes here..speed limit is a sad sad 60… should be 80 from Evans all the way to Burke…
– Howland Mills Drive area, just East of hwy. 6(Clappison’s Corners) Approaching and including the 4 lane area just west of downtown… cops frequently nail people here as they speed up where the road becomes 4 lanes again…. brutal!
– Watch out for weekend spotchecks on the ‘Bridge’ just East of mill Street, heading east or west…usually after 10 pm or so…
Dundas (Highway 5)
This is the most notorious highway in all of the GTA. Take caution when driving on this highway as it is always being watched.
