There are speed traps setup all over the city, by city cops and state police. Speed limits vary widely from 25-40mph. There’s no way around this town and money machine and a Kangaroo Court municipal magistrate, part-time resident.
Going West 35th Street right after Passing Sandpines Golf
They stake out the bottom of the steep hill often in mid afternoon. It is a 25 mph zone and the hill is so steep you have to give your car a lot of gas to get up over it. When you are going down the hill they catch you going 30 while you are trying to slow down and pull you over.
Florence, 8 to 10 miles east on 138
Westbound on 138 is a two lane road with no chance to pass a slow moving vehicle. About 8 miles east of Florence there is a passing lane.

of the passing lane, In order to pass a 35 mph vehicle, the passing vehicle exceed the speed limit for a short time. The second police car stops the drivers a short distance from the point of infraction.

This speed trap is the length of 9th Street from Hwy 101 to Rhododendron Drive. The speed limit is 25mph which is extremely slow and unreasonable. The Police Station is located on 9th Street so they are always watching.
