Newberg Police leadership is "encouraging" its’ officers to significantly increase traffic tickets. On Thanksgiving, one officer issued more than 40 traffic tickets. Happy Holidays!
East bound Hwy 99 and 2nd
The speed limit drops from 50 to 30 MPH with no warning. The speed trap sits at the bottom of the hill, so you will have difficulty slowing down.
Dayton Avenue
The police tuck into the streets near the hazelnut farm and radar for people exceeding the 40 mph signs on this road.
Hwy 219 and Sportsmans Park
Leaving Newberg headed towards St. Paul, the speed limit is 35. The cops like to sit on the right near the airpark and you get see them until you’ve come around the curve.
State Highway 219 near Family Life Church
The city of Newberg recently reduced the speed limit on this road coming out of town from 45MPH to 35MPH. Just north of the 45MPH sign, on the other side of the road, the city police hide behind the Family Life Church sign in the church parking lot using Lidar.
