Regina, Saskatchewan Speed Traps
Saskatchewan Drive by Telus store
On Sask Drive heading towards Elphinstone Street. They set up during rush hour as the downtown workers leave for the day right behind the Telus store.
Rochdale Blvd between Lakeridge Rd and McCarthy Blvd
They are often set up in the strip mall/condo driveway across from the skateboard park, for Westbound traffic. Tripod or handheld is hidden by the group mailbox unit, and cars are out of sight behind condo garage buildings.
If you see them, you’re already done! Sometimes they are a little further West by the EMS station. This is a school zone, so I imagine quite juicy fines. Haven’t had the pleasure so far.
South Albert St. At The PetroCan Station Heading North
They set up right beside the East access road and pull you over into the small strip mall. You really have to watch for it as they hide behind a sign on the corner with a radar tripod. Picking drivers off like flies on the way into town going north on Albert St.
Winnepeg Street North By City Bus Garages
They sit on north side parking lot using tripod or hand held unit. Can’t see them until it’s too late. There is a long stretch there before the tracks so it’s easy to push it up.
Assiniboine Avenue East
The police will either park or hide at either end of Assinaboine avenue waiting to trap drivers. If drivers are heading south bound toward Ring Road South, they should be wary of police hiding just past Windfield Rd, often parked in unmarked police vehicles on the shoulder lane. Conversely, people traveling from Ring Road south down Assinaboine Ave E should be wary of police hiding in behind a tree just past the Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, or parked in the entrance/exit of Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery. The road allows police to clock drivers with radar guns, so drivers should slow down well before they see suspicious cars parked at either end of the roadway.
