St. James Avenue near Alcoa Entrance

Goose Creek, South CarolinaJul 17, 20071 Comments

Leaving Goose Creek on St. James, after Walmart both sides of the road are woods, traffic speeds go from 45 to 55mph. But the zone actually starts 200 yds beyond the end of buildings. Cops sit at the Alcoa entrance and radar people approaching the 55mph sign. They say you are still in the 45 zone although the zone extends far beyond where is should stop.

Redbank Road near Navy Base

Goose Creek, South CarolinaJan 04, 20060 Comments

Goose Creek PD love the military base in Goose Creek, Red bank road around the commissary is a nice area to hide in. Usually the GC PD will hang near the fence all the way down red bank road on the military base. Goose Creek PD are not allowed to enter the federal portion which would be anything off Red back Road. I have never seen where a local government PD is allowed to patrol inside a federal installation. Well I have never seen a military instillation with no gate. Goose Creek PD loves to harass the Military and GC PD also has Laser, military Pd only has basic radar. Remember this, its illegal to have a radar detector on a military instillation. If you are hit by Military PD on Red bank road then technically you are not on a military instillation because its a state road, weird huh. I have talked to a few people that have been pulled over because the military Pd thinks that the XACT (Sirius) is radar detector. Usually local and Federal get along due to the amount of money local government gets from the federal government. The reason why they mess with military here is because there mostly young Navy students.
