North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Speed Traps
U.S. 17 1/4 mile South of Barefoot Landing
Briarcliffe Acres police will sit in the median of 17 at all hours of the day or night generating revenue for the most wealthy town in South Carolina.
in front of Sea Coast Medical Ctr,
As you travel north on Hwy. 9 after you cross the intercoastal bridge, as it splits, there is frequently a cop sitting in the median facing south in front of the old Bay Tree golf course right after you cross the bridge in Little River. Speed limit drops to 40 mph from 55 mph.
South side of Tntracoastal Waterway bridge
I have seen on more than one occassion a motorcycle cop at the very end of the guard rail on the bridge as you are coming from Little River to N. Myrtle Beach.
US Highway 17
Watch your speed during early am hours. You will get hit with radar at least once or twice going thru town on hwy 17.
State Highway 17 near Exit Number Cherry Grove
North Myrtle Beach cruisers can usually be seen in the median targeting cars heading Northbound about 1/2 mile before Intercoastal Bridge. In the same area they also hide behind the "Thank You for Visiting NMB" sign right at Cherry Grove Exit. Almost always in the evening to late hours (when it’s dark) and almost always hitting the Northbound cars. Guess this is one last chance for a souvenir… compliments of the City of North Myrtle Beach!
