44 Road near Desert Avenue

Pasco, WashingtonJun 24, 20081 Comments

Road 44 drops down a steep hill from Desert Ave. to a round-a-bout. 25 mph speed sign just past the top of the hill and a Pasco cop sits in a turn out just before the round-a-bout facing uphill traffic and records your highest speed at the top of the hill, before you see the 25 mph limit sign and have a chance to slow down. Similar roads in the area have speed limits of 30-35 mph.

Comments:
That entire 100 foot wide stretch of hilly neighborhood through-way road having a 25 MPH limit is ridiculous. It should be 35 or 40. This is a perfect textbook case of someone forcing a traffic study and getting rid of the trap due to the set speed limit being well under what it should be for that type of road.
