All interstates within Oklahoma City
Oklahoma City, by virtue of federal grants, has over a dozen (at last count) R.A.I.D. vehicles. Once the first violation is observed, these units will follow for a time to catch you in other violations, i.e. change lanes w/o signal, etc. Oklahoma Highway Patrol has also increased significantly their use of unmarked units of numerous types of vehicles, as has the county Sheriffs dept., including well hidden motorcycle units…augmented by a large number of OKC City police motorcycles. Lake Hefner Parkway (Hiway 74) patrols are high due to the many fatal collisions and average speed of 75 (65 mph limit).
