Along Hwy 146 anywhere in town
This stretch of Hwy 146 through East Cape is heavily patrolled esp at night. Police will most often sit just east of the Emerson Bridge on the IL side or in the median just west of The Pony. Posted speed is 45 MPH no leeway is given if you are pulled over. Both ISP and Alexander County are often radaring here.

This is definitely a speed trap and I am not sure there is anything legal about the way they do it. I was pulled over yesterday after crossing the bridge. I know for a fact that I was not speeding. The young officer treated me like a criminal and gave me a 120 dollar fine.
Just glorified tax collecting which is what IL and Alexander County is all about.
Not sure what the answer is...........In IL you have no rights, they can do anything they want.
