Passed thru the area approaching and beyond the Cordele Ga exits off of I-75 today and observed 4 local police cars working the area giving out tickets on I-75. They were using ka band radar – pulled off for gas about 20 miles past Cordele exits and there was another local cop using laser hiding on the side of the entrance ramp. The area approaching Cordele is full of phony work zones (signage and some orange barrels but no work or workers observed). This area of I-75 was upgraded years ago and the work has long been finished but the “work zones” with increased penalties continue to exist. Cordele cops have no business (other than revenue enhancement) for working the interstate.
