Angola Road near Holland-Sylvania Road
Ohio State Troopers and Holland Police sit off to the side of the road. The speed limit on the west side of Angola is 35 but before you cross Holland-Sylvania, it is 45 so people not paying attention don’t see the sign. There is no ‘Slower Speed Ahead’ signs either. I’ve seen hundreds of people getting tickets in the past 5 years and that’s no exaggeration.

This area has now changed slightly since the road improvements done in the village of Holland. The speed limit has increased on Angola to 40 MPH thru the village so the drop in speed limit is not as great. Within the last year the sightings of law enforcement along the area in question here is rare.
They have raised the speed limit to 45 mph as you head west on Angola Rd, west of Holland-Sylvania Rd; however . . . it reduces to 40 mph as you go under the 23 overpass. Law enforcement sporadically sit @ Thompsons Farm or the strip mall. It was a pain before the speed limit change. Holland, OH is slowly realizing it is a bigger town. Now, if only they'd raise the speed limit to 45 on McCord Rd, south of Angola rd. McCord is 45 mph from Central Rd south to McCord.
