Bell River Road heading Northwest out of town
The speed limit on Bell River Road after you leave town is 25 MPH for an unusually long distance of rural county road. There’s a 1/2 mile gap between the last 25 MPH sign and a 45 MPH sign that is approx 500 feet past a curve. As you round the curve and see the 45 MPH sign, don’t accelerate because the Memphis police park directly across from the 45 MPH sign facing south with radar. They ticket people for anything over 25 MPH between the curve and the sign. If you get a ticket here, fight it. St Clair County knows it’s a trap and will negotiate.
