Bridge drops from 55 to 45
I am from Houston and was driving to see Hawk’s Nest with some friends and a cop was waiting right where a bridge drops suddenly to 45. He didn’t care that I didn’t know the area and actually was extremely rude and said I needed better glasses. I hate these small towns and it will be the last time I ever go through there. I talked to my family who live in WV and they told me that is a huge speed trap area.

In the drivers handbook, it reads obey posted signs !! If you would obey the drivers handbook that you used to get your drivers licence, you would not have to pay any speeding tickets..And by the way, the officers DO NOT STOP ANYONE GOING ONLY 4 MPH OVER THE LIMIT. They may reduce your speed to go easy one you and save you some points....So, consider yourself lucky.....Peace
And the speed limit does not suddenly drop from 55 to 45, there is a warning sign before the bridge stating the speed is being reduced to 45 MPH..Pay attention to the road and road signs and you will be just fine...And maybe save a life...
I also got a speeding ticket in Gauley Bridge,but I won in court. I went on and sued them and ran there bill up over $40,000 in legal expeness which the lawyer that was representing town asked the judge is those expenses to me sealed,which the judge complied.
