Police wait in the parking lot of the Fairview Community Center just West of Fairview Ave. waiting for East bound traffic cresting off the hill. Take either Larpenteur Avenue or Roselawn to cross to the East, if it’s not out of your way, to avoid this hill.

They are not there every day or at every hour. Usually I go by there either after 7 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. and they are certainly looking for both east and west offenders. There are an awful lot of senior citizens using the community center and patience, not speed are the best way to deal with their driving, signaling and turning habits. Ease up. 35 MPH limit.
When coming from the west, hit the crest of the hill at 30 mph and then just take your foot off the gas - develop the habit and you'll be o.k. every time. This is one stretch where it won't pay to make up time if you're running late.
