Covell Blvd is usually not congested and the 35mph speed limit could easily go for 45mph, particularly eastbound past Pole Line, where there are no cross streets or residential neighborhoods not separated by a high sound wall. 45mph speed limit does not start until well past Pole Line, giving a false sense of actual speed limit coming out of the commercial and residential areas. As many speed up after Pole Line, the cops nab them before the 45mph sign comes up.
