During school hours, Davis police hide along Covell Blvd. and use radar to ticket cars exceeding the 25MPH zone when school is in session.
Next to Dutch Bros Coffee on Richards Blvd
The motorcycle likes to turn into the Italin Restaurant/hotel next to Dutch Bros Coffee and face outward towards traffic. He’s difficult to spot because that area of buildings looks noisy and its usually shady and dark, but beware!
Yoga place near Richards and Olive Dr
There is a yoga place at the intersection of Richards and Olive Dr called, I believe, Barefoot Yoga. Right after you go under the bridge next to WholeFoods (facing South, driving towards Dutch Bros Coffee), the motorcycle cop likes to hide at the yoga place’s parking lot which is (conveniently for the cop) elevated and hidden by trees and shrubs. You probably won’t even notice him/her because he’s practically right above you when you drive under the bridge. Be careful!
Back of movie theater on F St. (the one in front of ‘Cream’)
In back of the movie theater on F St, there is an ally that the motorcycle hide in. I haven’t seen him with the radar in hand but he is on the look out for recklessness and obvious speeding going into or leaving downtown. He faces the bridge you go under to go to In n’ Out.
I-80 East and Mace Blvd.
There is a small alcove located just past the offramp onto Mace Boulevard and right before the on ramp from Mace onto the highway. I’ve seen many times cops hide there because it is easy for cars to go 70-80 mph.
