East side of town on US 190 eastbound.

They (city police car) parked between 45 MPH and 65 MPH signs. While leaving the 45 MPH zone on the thru highway and accelerating up to the posted 65 MPH, which is within only a few yards ahead, I was stopped @ a quarter of a mile down the road . The cop was very arrogant, had no sympathy and was rude; threw my driver’s license, registration and insurance card into my car.
The cop said he clocked me on radar going 53 MPH in the 45 MPH zone.

Comments:
I had exactly the same experience, so it is a pattern there to ticket people accelerating as they approach the 65 mph sign going East on 190, and since they know it is a shady practice, they refuse to discuss it. I suspect they probably target out-of-state license plates as well. Shame on them for padding their ticket quotas in such a manner. Could they not target true speeders or other criminal activities to better benefit society. Guess they could not fill city coffers as easily that way. Be careful if you cannot avoid driving through this terrible little town.

I can only hope one day this department will be investigated by the la. Attorney general's office. These police do not realize they hardships they place on families. Hopefully they will get investigated. I am writing the La.Attorney general's.office. As a disabled veteran, the lack of ethics by this department makes me realize there is no training in their ranks. Clearly hire cops off the street, with no Morales or ethics.
