Fire House on 25th St. South of Capehart Rd.

Bellevue, NebraskaDec 02, 20101 Comments

County, State and Local law enforcement sit in the parking lot of the Fire House, on 25th street pointed south waiting for folks coming down the hill from the direction of Fairview Rd. Easy to break the sound barrier there as you’re coming down a fairly steep hill. Speed limits 35 but watch out for 45 and 50 easy, down this hill.

Comments:
Observed Sarpy County running radar at the top of the hill across from Pilgrim Lutheran on 25th. One of their brown patrol vehicles (without lightbar) pull a vehicle over as it passed it heading south on 25th street near Fairview Rd. So they are also catching people speeding up the hill as well. They vary their times at night in this vicinity and noticed they like to hang out there at times after the 2am closure of the bars. They are patrolling this area of 25th St, Schneekloth Rd and all the way up to 36th Street. Word of advice... If you think you can get away with speeding in this area still, those days are coming to an end as they are patrolling it more often as the area gets more populated with new homes.
