Foot of the Westbank bound HOV near Gretna
While traveling down the ramp to the start of the Westbank Expressway from the HOV notice the entance ramp to the HOV on the Left.(which is closed at 2pm when the HOV changes direction) a Causeway Police car is parked there shielded by the shade of the expressway overhead, and by a wall (which inhibits visiblity) while driving down the ramp) The car is black in color, and not showing any lights, it is a RADAR car. My radar detector goes wild while in this area, that is how I found the trap.

Get a clue about the CCC bridge. First it's not illegal or entrapment for a police officer to sit on the side of the road in plain view and run radar but it is illegal to speed. Second why would a Causeway police car be running radar outside it's jurisdiction and in the Crescent City Connection police departments jurisdiction? And three the HOV runs westbank to east bank from 5am to 11am then 1pm to 3am east bank to westbank. Oh, also the unit can be seen Over the 3.5 foot high retaining wall. Just remember any police unit inside its jurisdiction can legally stop you and cite you for breaking the law so it's best to not do that. :-)
