When I told The Judge that Georgia State19 in Pelham, Georgia was listed as a ‘Speed Trap’ He asked me if I believed all that I read on the Internet. Well after fighting a speeding ticket in His court I can say ‘Yes’ to that that posting. I sat in the Courtroom for over 5 hours and during that time everyone was found ‘Guilty’. Then it was my turn I produced evidence in the form of maps, photos, and even showed a mistake on the ticket I received – all to no avail. The only good thing is the fine was the same as it would have been had I just mailed in the money with the ticket – believe you should always ‘state your case’. My time in Traffic Court was well spent when you consider I saw firsthand how ‘Small Town Justice’ worked. I learned another valuable lesson – Pelham is a town that I for one will never stop in and in fact I plan to do my best to give it a wide berth and tell everyone I know to do the same – as far as I am concerned I have given Pelham all the money they will ever receive from me – I hope the business owners can live with how people in the neighboring towns are being fleeced out of their money.
