Police enjoy sitting in the Bryan Senior High parking lot, especially between the baseball and football fields. I have seen them facing both ways (East & West) and have detected them to be using both radar and laser. They usually won’t turn on their detectors until they notice you are going at least 5 over, but I’ve had my detector go off at 9 under. They like to sit along the far north side of the lot. They can see both the intersections (48th & 42nd) from their vantage point since they are at the peak of one of the hills, but they sit far enough back that the average driver doesn’t notice a white, relatively bland-looking Impala and/or Crown Victoria, especially in the evening, but i’ve seen them at school lunch breaks too.
