Highway 280, about an hour away from birmingham

Harpersville, AlabamaMay 08, 20031 Comments

Six speed changes within a two mile strech. Heavy, Heavy Fines 2 tickets cost my daughter 709 dollars. They judge will put you in jail if you do not have the money the day of court. Constant harrassing even if you go the speed limit (tailgaiting, speeding past, ect.)

Comments:
I live just outside of Harpersville and YES I will say that it is a speed trap, and I have gotten tickets there even knowing not to speed, as for the HEAVY fines they are not much different then any other place, and they don't put you in jail if you don't have the money the day of court, this I know for a fact! What they do is put you on probation until you pay the fine in full, and while you are on probation you have to go see your probation officer once a month and pay on the fine and also pay the probation fee as soon as you pay the fine off you are off probation. Also the cops don't tailgate or speed past you (unless they are after someone else) they do set and watch 280 very well so just take it easy and things will be fine.
