Hignway 165

Fenton, LouisianaSep 19, 20104 Comments

The Village of Fenton is unincorporated and the Police Chief does not have to have specific police training as revealed by the Parish Sheriffs Office and the State Police of Louisiana. This Chief uses a black large SUV and sits in the middle of the highway running radar. He does not target anyone with a Louisiana plate, but all others, specifically from Texas as this is a road leading to and from the Casino in Kender, Louisiana going from and to Interstate 10.

This Police Chief has no regards for proper traffic stops and if you are handicapped using a rear view mirror tag, he will ask you to get out of your vehicle and come back to his. He does not check insurance information nor any windshied registrations stickers nor safety inspecition stickers. All he is out to do is to become a better speed trap that in years past with Forest Hill, Louisiana.

Fenton population 400, median household income under $20,000, Dad is a councilman, son is the mayor/judge/jury, cousin is the police chief, tax base probably next to zero so their goal is to pay all their bills on the backs of out of state drivers, they have no conscious. If you go to court your are instructed by the mayor/judge not to speak and the same goes for the arresting officer, you can question nothing they want your money, at a recent coucil meeting they elected to hire another police officer, (crime must be rampant) and lease a new suburban for the police chief cousin, they keep it in the family. You can appeal to the DA of Jefferson Davis Parish, the Judicial Committee in New Orleans, this family money machine must be stopped

Thats a lie. When you come to court there is a prosecuting attorney there and you present your case to him not the judge. I have family there and they told me the reason they hired another police officer was because the other moved back home. You folks who get on here and spread all these lies are sure guilty as charged. I am from Texas and i said the same thing when i got stopped but when i came to court and saw the video i had to appoligize, and on top of that they gave me a reduction in the fine and kept it off my driving record. So if you get stopped its your fault not theirs.

Thats a lie. Fenton is incorporated. Thats funny. You say their chief of police does not have the proper training but has been in office for fifteen years. You say the target only citizens from Houston. Thats a lie. How can the officer see your plate if you are coming towards him. Impossible!. Oh, by they way there was a gentleman stopped from Houston with a handicapped sticker who said he was handicapped come to find out he was not handicapped. Said he worked with handicapped veterans, all lies because the place he said he worked did not even exist. Simply amazing that someone can impersonate a handicapp person. But, only from Houston.

The entire story about the handicapped, or not handicapped person seems like a fabricated story to try to make your home town seem like a good place. I received a speeding ticket for 63 in a 50, and I know he clocked me at the sign that has an arrow on it pointing that it become 50mph up the road, just like every other small town along that route. That was the first ticket I had received in 13 years, and the second in my entire driving career and I am 48. I was getting passed for miles on highway 165 because I was going the speed limit and locals were going at least 75. I had a rental car with NC plates, and I have a MD license. I didn't have a chance. I turned onto the first street and the guy that owned the house was laughing and said "you got another one." Sure seems like a small town speed trap to me. On my way home I stuck to the interstates.
