Illinois state road posted at 55 mph upon entering Richmond Illinois speed posted at 35 mph Illinois state law requires a ten mile reduction in speed increments. Most motorist are not aware of the law and in court if it is not presented by the motorist he is found guilty of speeding

Comments:
All of Richmond is a speed trap. From entry to the town beginning at 55mph, and stepping down by such increments AND taking into account the hills thru town, the average motorist will definately be ticketed and they are VERY ACTIVE with their ticketing. You can and will recieve relief if you go to traffic court, but you will have to pay the court fees so its pretty much a wash. They are going to get their money from you. Stay away!
