CALERA TICKET RECEIVERS, PLEASE READ! I cannot go into too much detail as I have an ongoing Not Guilty case. However, what I will say is the Calera Police officer caught me after I had driven half the 1 mile distance through their 55 MPH town. He issued me a ticket even though it was obvious I was driving the speed limit. When politely questioned the police officer became confrontational. His attitude + the ease to issue a ticket with questionable merit caused me to search the web to see if this city was classified as a "speed trap."

Now, I am currently fighting the ticket, but I have discovered one of Calera’s "aces-up-their-sleeves." They don’t have to give a trial by jury. The 6th amendment of the Constitution guarantees the right to trial by jury. Our forefathers realize that governments can become corrupt and that’s way they guaranteed this right. But somehow, Calera does not have to follow the Consitution. This is a great advantage for them. They can issue tickets, and the judge will just follow the crowd since I’m sure ALL of their salaries are paid directly by these funds. As a result, I am investigating a Civil Suit against the Calera. To make this case viable I will need to prove they target out-of-towners and out-of-state drives. Therefore, I ask any and all drivers to willing give their contact info: name, address, offense, and date of offense. I will use this to get the civil court presiding judge to grant the opening of Calera records so more research can be done. Please email to tmp6138_1@yahoo.com. If you’d like to join as a class action lawsuit, please indicate this desire. Thanks and wish me good luck.

The mother of my 2 granddaughters had a bad experience while driving through Calera, OK. She fortunately go a job at the local casino. She is a single mother of 3 children earning the minimum wage and trying to better herself by going back to school. This is what she wrote me in an email:- It was a Friday that I had school then had to go to work. I got off at 8:30 that night and had been up since 6:30. There is a small town called Calera that the cops do nothing but pull people over. The cop said I crossed over the line and wrote me a $200 ticket for it. The ticket said I didn't have my full concentration on the road. I have to drive thru there to work so I didn't want to argue. My first ticket and I think it's ridilous but I guess it's my luck. I will have caught up on the rent by March I thought I would have my tax return money by beginning of Feb. not the end. Do the officials in this town know or have a conscience about where their salaries come from. It is "Blood Money" mixed with sweat and tears. At some level it must be illegal. If I was living in the area I would lead an effort to Reduce the patronage (The "B"word) of the businesses in the town, Restaurants, Ho/Motels and Gas Stations..... These people would then effect the Chamber of Commerce and put the Town Crooks on notice to cease & desist. OR Tell the truth "Most people who stay or stop to eat" in Calera loose at the casino. If Calera was reduced to a "Ghost Town". It would only have one cop and the problem would be reduced by 66%. Reviewing the letters that pertain to the Traffic Citations in Calera. These people need to be brought to their knees for the good of humanity. They give Police Departments and Law enforcement a bad name. Surely OKDOT should look after the Speed Sign. Being a state agency that gets some funding from the Fed DOT they have to comply with DOT codes. Can anyone out there help us to stop the town of Calera, OKfrom "Taking the food out of our children's mouths"
