I-10 and Jackrabbit Trail

The Jackrabbit Trail interchange of Interstate 10 crests at the overpass itself. If you are heading west on I-10, be careful of your speed as you clear the bridge section of the overpass, as it has been observed frequently that DPS cruisers are waiting in the median and using radar to clock unwary motorists coming out of Phoenix. You get a Performance Award from one of these gentlemen, you get to go see the Judge in beautiful downtown Buckville. He’s ex-DPS, so you’ll have to do your homework if you fight the ticket. Here’s a handy tip for y’all: you’ve got seven- tenths (0.7) of a second to rapidly decrease your speed after radar first see’s you. In can’t get a lock if your speed is rapidly increasing or decreasing. Pay attention and DPS doesn’t even notice you. Saves me at least one ticket a month. Take care and stay safe.
