On the south side of town coming north on 17 from Savannah GA right before I-95 the limit drops from 60 to 40. They say it is a legal distance between signs but you must apply brakes to slow in time. There a landscaped medium strip with a welcome sign that obstucts the view north and ends into paved undivided road. This where they they park in the center of the road between the 2 lanes (however they deny hiding behind it in court). Most of the local guys that are on the force will cut a little slack maybe 3 to 5 over but not all. Some will pull at random for only a mile over and even if they read the radar wrong and get the wrong car. It’s major income for the town. I drive this road every day to and from work and see it all the time. I’ve even got pulled there not paying attention. I was surprised not to see it listed. Town court is always filled with out of towners.
