I 80 East Bound

Fremont, IndianaMar 28, 20112 Comments

Just paid a ticket, and was informed by the court that they process 15,000 speed tickets a year, therefore they do not send out a reminder to pay ticket. They will contact your state and request suspension of your license. Oh, and your ticket doubles…

15,000 tickets a year for a town of 2000 pop.? Not bad. Last time visiting Fremont for me. Alas.

Comments:
Got a ticket on I80 east just before the Ohio border. Forgot about the ticket and received a notice of suspension of my license if the ticket is not paid. Nice to know my ticket will now double but hard to believe that a town generating this much money doesn't have the common courtesy to send a reminder to pay the ticket. So my rent doesn't get paid but the town of Fremont adds more cash to the coffers. So nice of them to not put out the cost of a stamp to remind people in these hard economic times. After this, my money stays in IL, OH and PA in regard to gas, recreation and food on my many trips to PA.

I've lived in Toledo, Milwaukee, DC, and Chicago - I've received two speeding tickets in 11 years of driving. Both have been east-bound on I80 just before the Ohio border in FREMONT. Such a sad, depressing little village. Very pretty landscape - such a shame these people have turned it into a circus sideshow.
