I-95 NE Thruway after Gunhill Rd. Left exit
After the bottleneck at Co-op city/Pelham Pkwy/Hutchinson Pkwy., I-95 opens up and it is natural to speed up. It is a 50 MPH zone, After Co-op City, the road veers to the right and up a bridge over the "swamp" heading out to Westchester. Right before the incline, there’s the highway patrol with the radar gun pointed right at you. It’s a setup. They know everyone speeds up. They want to get "thru traffic" right before they leave NYC to pay off the NYC bottomless pit of debt. Saturday and Sunday mornings are prime for "work" for the highway patrol.
