I25 SB at 104th-84th

Denver, ColoradoApr 02, 20112 Comments

The speed limit goes from 65 to 55 at the bottom of the hill leading up to the 104th st bridge. Cops sit on the overpass and radio any speed exceeding 60 to motorcycles below.

I just literally got a ticket from this speed trap about 30 minutes ago, I wish I would've known this before my trip from Broomfield back to Denver. There was about 6 other cars being pulled over too. The cop was sitting in the darkness with all of his lights off and I saw something shining over on the right shoulder and then I realized that it was a undercover cop car. I could've sworn that it was still 65 (I was going 67) and I was pulled over right before either the first 55 speed limit sign or apparently the second one according to the cop. I don't understand why the speed limit jumps around on I-25 so frequently. 65 to 55 to 60 then back to 65...honestly it's hard to keep up.

Why does it jump? Because we have crappy speed limit laws here and they can set the speed to whatever they want. There is no reason for a speed drop here at 104.
