I recently received a ticket in this dump of a town. I will never spend a penny there. I did not see the abrupt speed change I was pulled over with my baby sleeping in the back. The officer had zero interest/sympathy for my baby crying, my polite attitude or the fact that he clocked me less than .2 of a mile from the speed change. The assisting officer stood to the right of our vehicle throughout the process with his hand positioned over his revolver. I guess my wife and baby in the back were a little concerning to him.

Think twice about stopping in Calvert. I would recommend skipping the whole county. Pull over in Riesel or Bryan. Maybe the businesses will finally object to this government regulated theft.
