intersection of co. 8 and co. 74

Morrison, ColoradoJul 09, 20113 Comments

there maybe radar on the out skirts of morrison but no body is detecting any thing from the intersection of co. 8 and co. 74 from down town to the fort restaurant. This is a residential area and a posted 25mph but people are doing 50-65 mph. very very rarely do I ever see a cop in this area because their outside the town writing citations and not protecting any residents or visitors. So be cautious crossing the highway it could be fatal. The town does not like to write anything in town. So you should be safe at doing so.

Comments:
They do patrol their own town to issue tickets. I don't think they have any real criminal police authority as they are never in the news about that. Criminal activities are handled by Jeffco Sheriff's Dept. I've seen radar cops sitting in the police parking lot and nailing cars speeding by as you leave town. Used to be 25 mph right there, but now is 35.

They must be trying to keep you confused, because now it is back down to 25 mph and the cops are just sitting there waiting. As you leave town, it goes from 25 to 35 to 50 in less than a mile. Definitely a speed trap, I hope this revenue they are creating is worth it to them and I hope they lose more tourists because of it. I know I am a daily commuter that used to go thru town and buy gas, etc and because of the underhanded trickery, the businesses of Morrison will not see another dime from me. It probably is giving giving the town alot of revenue at the small business owners expense.
