Interstate 16
State Troopers and the local Sheriff’s Department constantly patrol this area. As soon as you reach the Candler County line, especially near the McDonald’s exit, please slow down. Traffic tickets are quadrupled the normal rate. I know of someone speeding, and had to pay a $1,000 fine. Please slow down in Candler County. Especially if you are on your way to Atlanta or Savannah.

I'm living proof here. A hanging judge in Metter and the GSP know it. I got a ticket about ten yrs ago in this spot that cost me $386.00 for 15 over the limit. The $1000 comment above does not surprise me.
