Interstate 469 near Interstate 469
State and some county officers like to sit on any/all of the on ramps getting onto the highway from roads that cross over I-469. And if you look on the cement median (right after the over pass), there are black lines painted on it, the cops can sit on the on ramp and time you using VASCAR technology which is accurate by 2 MPH. Unfortunately I learned the hard way. But the officer was more than willing to explain to me how he got me without my radar detector going off. VASCAR is a total timing system through the officer’s computer timing you between two points. Therefore, radar detectors do no good against them. Indiana is ranked third for most use of VASCAR. So watch your speed around the exits on I-469.
