Interstate 490 near Interstate 390

This is referring to the split where 490 east turns onto 390 north. There is often an officer stationed in the dip in the fork that has nabbed several cars making the turn onto 390 north exploiting the fact that the speed limit on the ramp is 40 from a steady 55 on 490 and that its an easy speed change to overlook. This is usually a no brainer as long as you keep your eyes out you might be able to spot the trap from a long ways coming but just recently Ive noticed BLACK cruisers WITHOUT lights on top of there vehicles sitting there mostly at night. You can get away with 48 but when youre cruising at 65 its easy to get nailed on the ramp doing 50. Keep an eye out.

Comments:
This isn’t entirely true. The ramp speed is a suggestion (as any speed posted on a yellow sign). The same signs are used for curves, and I have never heard of anyone being pulled over for disobeying those while still obeying the original posted speed limit.
