There is a section of Rt 64 (East and West), about 2 miles in length, located near the Greenbrier Mall Area (Between Exit 286 -Indian River Rd and Exit 289 Greenbrier Pkwy) There are 4 lanes on both sides. There is a paved area in the middle where a State Trooper will sit 90% of the time during morning and evening rush hour (though they could be there anytime of the day/night). In addition to the marked patrol cars there are also unmarked vehicles patrolling up and down this area. The wide lanes are a real invitation to speed (limit is 55MPH) and it is a definitey a "target rich" environment for law enforcement. There are also signs stating that speeders are tracked by air. Beware!
