City police almost always sitting in I-75 medium with radar both ways. When you see the Asburn city limits signs on the Interstate SLOW DOWN!

Definitely a speed trap. I got a $732 ticket there in Jan 2008 for going 85. They use the construction to get a higher ticket price even when no construction is going on during the weekends and holidays! I found a post a few months after my ticket from others that had received the same tickets the same weekend, and had actually gone back to show up for traffic court, the judge walked into the room and lowered the tickets to $375! I guess they have to pay for those new Charges some how!

My ticket was for 84 mph in a 70 mph zone. When I called the Ashburn Municipal Court I was told that the fine would be $217.00. Being from out of state I called the number given to pay by phone. I was informed by that organization (Ncourt) that in addition to their $28.00 fee (expected) there would also be an $86.80 "administrative charge" payable to the City of Ashburn. That makes a total of $331.80. Nice little racket they've got going there. Southern hospitality strikes again.
